Hello,
I am now logged on with IE 6.
I am having a problem running a computer game.
I believe that the problem has to do with user rights on this machine.

Hey robert
I have 5 users on this PC
my account has Admin privilege & the rest are simple users
There is a popular game installed on this PC
called Sims2
It works under the account with Admin privilege, but not under other accounts
Does all games run like that or only one?
can we make it so that the game would work
without giving all users Admin privilege ?
Just this one game
We have Roller Coaster Tycoon & AOE installed, & they run just fine
I suspect that no, because the game needs to write something to the Registry, but limited user account does not allow it. However I will search it's tech support site for solution.
cool,, i thought a widget could be modified
I see.

Question
Why does the game display an 'Unspecified Error'?
Answer
The 'Unspecified Error' occurs if you are trying to play The Sims 2 on Windows XP computer with an account that does not have Administrator rights. Because of the feedback received from customers, this was addressed in the Sims 2 patch. Now users can play The Sims 2 on Windows XP with a limited user account, but only once the patch has been installed. Click on the following link to be taken to the patch notes and patch download location: http://thesims2.ea.com/update/
Thanks very very much
